Introduction

Many people want to be good allies - but don’t always know where to start or how to act. This virtual classroom seminar provides practical, real-world guidance on how to be an active and effective allyship in the workplace.

With increasing attention on workplace equity and employee voice, allyship has emerged as a key enabler of inclusion and psychological safety. This session empowers participants to move beyond performative allyship and take meaningful, consistent action.

Through discussion, lived experience insights, and interactive scenarios, you will find out how allies can amplify marginalised voices, challenge bias, and help create more equitable workplaces.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • What effective allyship looks like in the workplace
  • Understanding privilege and how to use it responsibly
  • How to educate yourself without burdening others
  • Spotting and challenging microaggressions and exclusionary behaviour
  • When to call out and when to call in - and how to do both effectively
  • Practical techniques for allyship in meetings, emails, and team settings

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
