Introduction

This short webinar explores the breathing space regulations which provide legal protection from creditors in certain situations.

There are two different options available through the scheme:

• A standard breathing space order which is available to anyone with problem debt and provides legal protection from creditor action for up to 60 days
• A mental health crisis breathing space order which is available to someone who is receiving mental health crisis treatment and provides protection throughout the person's mental health crisis treatment, plus 30 days

It is important that creditors ensure their procedures are compliant with the regulations. This webinar will focus on ensuring compliance.
