Street Vote Development Orders: Legal Framework, Risks & Opportunities
Introduction
Street Vote Development Orders (SVDOs), proposed in the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023, will introduce a new route to planning permission and could fundamentally change how planning permission is granted and give power back to local communities.
This interactive live session offers legal, planning and property professionals an overview of the emerging framework of Street Vote Development Orders (SVDOs). With opportunities for participation, it will explore how SVDOs reshape planning law, with the intention of empowering communities.
Designed specifically for legal, planning, and property professionals, this virtual classroom session will examine the impact of SVDOs and compare the current proposals with the neighbourhood planning regime as established by the Localism Act 2011.
