Introduction

Employers have been required to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment at work since October 2024.

From 30 October 2026, the Employment Rights Act 2025 strengthens this duty to require all reasonable steps and introduces protection against harassment by third parties, including clients, customers and suppliers.

An effective risk assessment helps employers identify where harassment could occur, evaluate existing safeguards and decide what further action is needed.

This bite-sized recorded webinar will explore how compliance professionals can work with HR and senior management to assess risks and turn their findings into practical preventative measures.

What You Will Learn

This short webinar will cover the following:

  • The employer’s duties and the changes taking effect on 30 October 2026
  • What ‘all reasonable steps’ means for your organisation
  • How to identify and assess risks, including client contact, work events, online communications and power imbalances
  • How to evaluate existing policies, training and reporting arrangements
  • Turning findings into an action plan with clear responsibilities and deadlines
  • Recording decisions, monitoring effectiveness and reviewing the assessment
