From Good Intentions to Great Impact: Building Your Pro Bono Practice
Speaker
Introduction
In recent years, law firms have invested significantly in their pro bono programmes, both through full time hires into lawyer-led pro bono teams and through greater encouragement and recognition for their fee-earners to participate in these initiatives.
This trend is mirrored in in-house teams either working collaboratively with their law firm partners or developing their own projects. Pro bono work gives these lawyers an opportunity to do their part in addressing wide-ranging legal needs, deploying their expertise to help individuals and charities in the pursuit of justice.
This webinar, delivered by a pro bono counsel at international law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, will look at how to develop a pro bono offering within your organisation. From securing internal support and setting a policy, to different types of pro bono and how to find new opportunities, the session will provide a roadmap for anyone seeking to develop the basis for a programme from scratch.
The webinar is geared at lawyers in private practice or in-house roles who are responsible (formally or informally) for their team’s pro bono output. It will include practical advice, tips and guidelines to follow, as well as signposting to key sector organisations where further information can be found.
