Introduction

This new virtual classroom seminar will examine recent developments in corporate restructuring and insolvency since the enactment of the Companies Act 2014, as well as considering the possible alternative corporate restructuring approaches.

The session will focus on the developments in each area and explore judicial commentary and thinking including with respect to examinerships and liquidations.

It will also consider recent legislative developments of particular interest to insolvency practitioners.

Finally, the session will also look at some practical measures for creditors seeking to realise the greatest possible outcome from a potentially insolvent company, and how to maximise benefits while minimising exposure to unnecessary court processes.

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • Key insolvency processes - examinership, liquidation (court liquidation, members' voluntary liquidation, creditors' voluntary liquidation)
