Introduction

The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act (‘PSTI Act’) introduced new security requirements in the UK for connected products, building on the Code of Practice for Consumer IoT Security.

The PSTI Act is split into two parts, and the focus of this virtual classroom seminar will be on the first part that sets out new duties, security requirements and compliance steps for providers of connected products.

The session will guide you through the new rules, who they apply to and how they interact with other laws.

It is suitable for those working with connected products, the Internet of Things and those with an interest in product/cyber security.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • Brief background to the legislation
  • Who is in scope of the PSTI Act
  • The duties under the Act
  • What the security requirements are
  • Enforcement
  • Interaction with other areas of law

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
