LOCS:23: The New GDPR Assurance Standard for the Legal Sector
Introduction
In February 2024, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) approved an official GDPR certification standard, LOCS:23, the legal sector’s new GDPR assurance standard. Developed specifically for law firms, barristers’ chambers and suppliers to the legal sector, LOCS:23 provides a structured, auditable way to demonstrate robust UK GDPR compliance and evidence to clients that their data is properly and legally protected.
As a government backed standard LOCS:23 is rapidly becoming the minimum level of GDPR assurance expected by clients, government bodies and regulators, with formal UKAS approval of the certification body expected imminently.
Presented by LOCS:23 experts from Briefed, this virtual classroom seminar will help you understand the core requirements of LOCS:23 and prepare your organisation before demand for certification accelerates across the sector. It will be of particular benefit to those responsible for GDPR within their organisation.
