Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Bill 2026 - A Strategic Update for Residential Property Lawyers
Speaker
Introduction
This virtual classroom seminar provides a focused update on the government’s plans to legislate for a reformed Commonhold model to be adopted in both England and Wales, as revealed in the Draft Leasehold and Commonhold Reform Bill which was published in January 2026. The course content will be updated as further developments emerge.
Designed specifically for residential property lawyers (rather than managing agents or enfranchisement specialists), this session offers a highly practical update on how the law is set to change and what this is likely to mean for day-to-day conveyancing.
With Commonhold currently all but absent from the market, the reformed model will, in effect, introduce a wholly new tenure into English and Welsh law - raising important questions about risk, readiness and implementation for law firms. This course will provide you with a practical, forward-looking legal update - and ensure your firm is equipped for the Commonhold era.
