Introduction

As AI and automation tools become embedded across professional services firms, support staff are increasingly using them to manage documents, correspondence, billing, scheduling and client communications.

While these technologies can improve efficiency and streamline day-to-day tasks, they also introduce new risks relating to confidentiality, accuracy, data protection and professional responsibility.

Many support teams, however, have received little formal training on how these tools work, the legal and operational risks they may create, or the safeguards that should be followed when using them in practice.

This new virtual classroom seminar is designed to support professionals with a practical understanding of AI and automation tools, helping them use these technologies confidently, responsibly and in line with organisational and regulatory expectations.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • What AI and automation mean in a legal support environment
  • The AI tools increasingly being used in law firms and legal teams, including drafting assistants, document management platforms, scheduling systems and transcription software
  • Understanding AI-generated content - common errors, limitations and how to identify inaccurate outputs
  • Confidentiality, privilege and data protection considerations when using AI tools
  • Firm policies, acceptable use requirements and individual responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity and information security risks associated with AI and automation technologies
  • Practical compliance considerations and real-world case studies
