2026 Mid-Year Money Laundering Regulations Updates for Financial Services
Speakers
Introduction
In 2025, the Government published a number of policy changes following a 2024 consultation on improving the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR). The Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) Regulations which will give effect to those changes is expected to come into force in early 2026. The aim of the proposed amendments is to close regulatory loopholes, address concerns about proportionality, and account for evolving risks in money laundering and terrorist financing.
This webinar will provide an overview of the changes and their impact with a focus on financial services businesses. It will also provide a wider view of the MLR compliance picture in 2026.
