Known for her highly engaging company law courses, Jackie Sheldon qualified and practised as a corporate solicitor in a large City firm before moving to the North-West, where she worked at two commercial firms and specialised in advising on corporate acquisitions.
Jackie has been teaching for over 18 years and delivering both in-person and online CPD courses with MBL for more than 10 years. Her courses with MBL cover everything from directors’ duties to the PSC register and drafting great board minutes. Jackie recently won the title "Most Engaging Postgraduate Legal & Accountancy Training Provider 2026 - UK" in the Corporate Vision Education and Training Awards 2026.
Jackie is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, is a Certified Management and Business Educator and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education. She co-authored the textbook Advising Effectively on the Employment Aspects of a Corporate Transaction – A Practical Guide for Junior Lawyers and is the author of the recently published textbook A Practical Guide to Identity Verification under The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023. Jackie has been commissioned to write another practitioner guide/textbook (due for publication in 2027) and is proud to be a contributing author to a number of the leading company law practitioner texts and guides.
Outside of work, Jackie runs a martial arts school and is a qualified kickboxing instructor with 3 blackbelts. She enjoys drinking coffee, watching the sunrise and walking in the Peak District with her giant (exceedingly daft) dog and hanging out with her husband and sons.
Recent delegates have described Jackie as “brilliant” and “very knowledgeable”. All of Jackie’s upcoming courses can be found here.
