Simon Sturgis
Simon Sturgis AADip RIBA is an architect with over 40 years’ experience in the built environment industry.He was lead author for the RICS’s ‘Whole Life carbon assessment for the built environment’, 2nd Edition - 2023, as well as the original 2017 1st Edition. He is a member of the European carbon standards committee for EN15978.He was co-author of GLA’s London Plan Carbon Policy SI2 and was special advisor to the UK Parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee for their 2022 report “Building to net zero: costing carbon in Construction”. He is member of Historic England’s ‘Historic Places Panel’ which advises local authorities on regeneration of historic places. He is currently working for CIBSE developing a WLCA training programme.Simon has advised e.g.: The Crown Estate, British Land, Landsec, Grosvenor, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, Government Departments, Google, Quintain, Tishman Speyer, Turner and Townsend, Lipton Rogers Developments, SOM, Architects, SAVE, Warwick University, WWF, Waterman Infrastructure and many others.
