Sam Mann

Samantha began her career in payroll shortly after leaving school and has since developed extensive experience across a range of industries. Her background spans both in-house payroll operations and bureau environments, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the profession from multiple perspectives. Working closely with small employers has enabled her to develop a broad skill set, reflecting the diverse expertise required of payroll professionals to effectively support organisations and clients. Her time within the CIPP Policy Team, alongside her role as a CIPP Tutor, provided valuable insight into the wide-ranging challenges faced by Payroll and HR professionals across all sectors, further strengthening her technical knowledge and practical understanding. Since 2021, Samantha has focused on training, mentoring, and coaching the next generation of payroll professionals at Armstrong Watson LLP. In addition to supporting apprentices, she works with a large team of professionals across the North of England and Scotland. This diverse team, with experience across multiple payroll systems, contributes to a rich exchange of knowledge and continues to enhance Samantha’s own expertise.
