Sam Clyndes

Sam is a Director in the Financial Regulatory team at Fieldfisher LLP. Sam was formerly a senior legal adviser at the UK's Financial Conduct Authority and now advises regulated firms and senior individuals on contentious and non-contentious financial regulatory issues. Sam specialises in advising those subject to regulatory enforcement, investigation, enquiries or intervention. He has acted for a wide variety of retail and wholesale clients facing intense regulatory scrutiny as well as the senior managers and controllers of such businesses. Sam also advises clients on how to mitigate regulatory risk by ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and guidance, including in relation to the SMCR regime, treatment of consumers and financial crime/AML.
