Venetia Jackson

Venetia is Counsel in Dentons' London office. She is a member of the Regulation & Investigations practice group, with extensive expertise in all aspects of retail financial services regulation. Prior to moving into private practice she spent nine and a half years at the FCA where amongst other work she was one of the lead drafters of the Consumer Duty. Whilst in the insurance team in the FCA's legal division, she also advised on a variety of conduct and other regulatory issues in relation to general and life insurers and insurance distributors, and drafted the FCA's general insurance pricing practices rules. She has a wide practice with a particular focus on insurance regulation, consumer finance, redress issues and the application of the Consumer Duty. She regularly advises both insurers and distributors on perimeter and regulatory issues including in partiular the Consumer Duty.
