Christopher has a broad civil practice and frequently appears in the High Court’s Chancery and King’s Bench Divisions, the Commercial Court, the TCC, the Business and Property Courts, and a multitude of county courts in and out of London.Christopher undertakes court, drafting and advisory work in a wide variety of matters relating to aviation, including:• Hull damage claims• General aviation claims• Leasing and acquisition disputes• Insurance disputes• Airport disputes• Manufacturing and outfitting disputes• Carriage by air disputes involving EU regulations, Warsaw and Montreal Conventions and associated passenger, cargo, baggage, delay and denied boarding claims.• Regulatory and compliance issues (including threatened CAA enforcement action)• International carriage by road and sea claims, including under the Athens Convention and the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR)• Travel claims, including under the Package Travel Regulations, particularly representing airlines in “mixed liability scheme” claimsChristopher is currently ranked as a band 3 in UK Bar: Aviation in Chambers & Partners. He is the author of chapters on Articles 20 and 21 in The Montreal Convention: A Commentary (Elgar Commentaries in Commercial Law series), 2023
