Catherine Carrigy

Senior Associate, William Fry LLP. Catherine advises on all aspects of insurance law and regulation, with a focus on corporate and transactional matters such as new authorisations of (re)insurers and intermediaries, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio transfers, and corporate restructurings. Catherine brings valuable industry insight from her previous roles at Lloyd’s of London’s Irish branch and during her secondment to the Insurance Supervision Department of the Central Bank of Ireland. Catherine holds a Professional Diploma in Insurance (Chartered Insurance Practitioner) and has lectured on the Insurance Institute of Ireland’s professional course. Catherine is a member of William Fry's Tier 1-ranked Insurance practice, and she is individually recognised by Chambers Europe (2025) as an Associate to Watch in the Insurance sector.
