Beth Brown

Beth is a partner in the national specialist pensions law firm, Arc Pensions Law. She advises clients on all aspects of pension law and practice, with particular focus on the insolvency, finance, and governance aspects of pensions. She has undertaken secondments to the Pension Protection Fund and AstraZeneca PLC, London. Her work has included advising trustees on employer insolvencies and transition to the Pension Protection Fund, sponsor re-financings and an innovative £1.6 billion buy-in as well as day to day scheme matters. Beth is an active member in the industry including chairing the PMI’s Award in Pensions Trusteeship Committee and previously sat on its Certificate in DC Governance Committee. She has also helped set the National Occupation Standards for certain pension roles, often speaks at APL and PMI events, and writes for internal and external publications including PMI News and previously co-authored the PMI’s Certificate in DC Governance study manual.
