Olivia Ward is a Senior Associate at Burges Salmon LLP. She is a data privacy and AI regulation lawyer who specialises in GDPR, AI governance and cross-border data compliance. She advises global technology, fintech, retail and financial services clients on EU and UK data protection law, the EU AI Act and the UK Online Safety Act. Her work includes EU AI Act readiness assessments, DPIAs, privacy-by-design and international data transfers. She is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and holds the IAPP’s CIPP/E certification.
