Jon Daley
Jon advises a broad range of charities, social purpose organisations and not-for-profit bodies on UK direct tax matters, with a particular focus on corporation tax, Gift Aid and the application of charitable exemptions.He has extensive experience across the social purpose sector, including INGOs, schools, colleges, membership bodies, religious organisations, arts and cultural charities and social enterprises. Jon trained initially in audit within the not-for-profit sector before moving into corporate tax, bringing a strong blend of technical and sector-specific insight to his advisory work.Jon is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CIOT). He regularly presents technical seminars on charity taxation, both internally and externally, including for bodies such as the ICAEW and Charity Finance Group and is a frequent speaker on direct tax issues affecting charities.His work includes advising on corporate structures, trading and exemption issues, Gift Aid planning and compliance, as well as international aspects of charity operations and transactions. He is a former Director in the Corporate Tax team at Crowe UK.
