Workplace Sexual Harassment - An Employee Guide
Speaker
Introduction
Since October 2024 employers have had a duty to take reasonable steps to stop harassment of a sexual nature occurring in the workplace. From October 2026 this will change to be a requirement to take 'all' reasonable steps. In addition, employers will be required to take all reasonable steps to stop harassment from a third party, and this relates to all protected characteristics relating to harassment, as well as sexual harassment.
There might be legislation in place, but unfortunately harassment and associated difficult situations still occur. What should the employee who is on the receiving end of this do? What should an employee do if they witness unacceptable behaviour? How can the organisation support an employee who experiences something that is unacceptable?
This webinar will look at sexual harassment, from the perspective of the employee.
