Introduction

Harassment has become a topic that is high on the agenda of those managing people in organisations.

This is partly because of changes brought in by the Employment Rights Act 2025. From 30 October 2026, employers have a duty to make all reasonable adjustments to prevent harassment of a sexual nature, and they also have a duty to take all reasonable steps to prevent harassment of their employees from third parties.

In addition, there is a steady stream of harassment cases brought to the Employment Tribunal, demonstrating how employers can get things wrong.

This virtual classroom seminar will work through the responsibilities on the employer and the practical steps that should be taken to address harassment in the workplace.
