The Protection from Sex-Based Harassment Act 2023

Introduction

On 18th September 2023, Parliament enacted the Protection from Sex-Based Harassment Act 2023 creating the new offence of intentionally cause a person harassment, alarm, or distress because of the complainant's sex (or presumed sex). There is a commencement date of 1 April 2026.
