This virtual classroom seminar will consider the Right to Buy legislation under Part V of the Housing Act 1985 together with a review of possible issues that may arise when applying the legislation and recent case law.

- The claim procedure
- How is the purchase price calculated?
- The effect of a change of tenant or landlord during the claim
- Sanctions for landlord’s delay
- The effect on future disposals and preservation of the right to buy
- Recent case law including: Piechnik v Oxford City Council [2020] and City of London v Various Leaseholds of Great Arthur House [2021]
