Introduction

This virtual classroom seminar will consider the Right to Buy legislation under Part V of the Housing Act 1985 together with a review of possible issues that may arise when applying the legislation and recent case law.

  • The claim procedure
  • How is the purchase price calculated?
  • The effect of a change of tenant or landlord during the claim
  • Sanctions for landlord’s delay
  • The effect on future disposals and preservation of the right to buy
