Introduction

This new virtual classroom seminar explores the Register of Overseas Entities (‘ROE’), which came into force in August 2022 as part of the UK’s wider move towards transparency and anti-corruption measures.

Under the regime, any overseas entity that holds or wishes to acquire certain types of UK real estate needs to register with Companies House and provide details of its ‘beneficial owners’ and (in some cases) managing officers.

Since the ROE regime was first introduced, there have been various changes to the rules, which have increased the ROE’s level of accessibility and transparency.

This virtual classroom session is designed for professionals, including trustees, family offices, in-house counsel and those advising on real estate transactions.
