Menstrual Disorders in the Workplace - How to Support Employees
Introduction
In 2023 the CIPD surveyed over 2000 women aged from 18-60 years, asking them about their experience of menstruation and the workplace. 69% of women who had experienced symptoms relating to menstruation said that this had a negative impact on work. 53% had been unable to go to work at some point, because of menstruation symptoms, with 4% saying that this happened every month.
Menstruation is clearly an issue for a significant number of women, but it is still a subject that is often seen as ‘taboo’ in the workplace.
This webinar will explore what is meant by menstrual disorders, their impact on employees and practical ways organisations can provide support.
