Introduction

Immigration bail is a mechanism under UK law that allows individuals who are liable to detention to reside in the UK temporarily, subject to specific conditions. The legal framework for immigration bail is governed by Schedule 10 of the Immigration Act 2016, which replaced previous bail regimes. The SSHD and immigration tribunals have the authority to grant or impose bail and the conditions of bail may include residence requirements, reporting obligations and other restrictions.

This webinar will address the legal, procedural and practical aspects of immigration bail, as well as the human rights considerations that underpin its application.
