Introduction

The emergency circumstances of the pandemic resulted in an almost immediate implementation of remote and hybrid working for many employers, which represented a substantive change to working arrangements. This meant many hybrid working policies were developed at speed rather than with an eye to any longer-term impact. However, five years on, the consequences are beginning to bite and the differing expectations between employer and employee as to how hybrid working should operate moving forwards is leading to workplace conflict.

This new virtual classroom seminar will explore some of the more complex issues that can arise in the context of hybrid working, whether that is dealing with a lack of compliance with existing hybrid working arrangements, or an employer’s desire to reduce or remove hybrid working.

It will be of interest to HR professionals and in-house employment lawyers.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive course will cover the following:

  • The current landscape for hybrid working in the UK
  • The potential types of claims that can arise in the context of hybrid working
  • Case studies to address different claims into context
  • Legal issues associated with changing hybrid working arrangements (for example, mandating a return to the office)
  • Practical issues associated with employees working on a hybrid basis
  • Future-gazing, including looking at what might change with the introduction of the Employment Rights Bill into law

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
