Introduction

Enforcing financial remedy orders can be a challenging and complex process. Family lawyers can feel less confident when advising clients on enforcing financial remedy orders due to many of the rules on enforcement under the Family Procedure Rules 2010 being imported from the Civil Procedure Rules 1998.

This webinar will aim to improve your understanding and knowledge of the relevant law and procedure, enabling you to better advise clients on the available options in implementing orders. This webinar will also provide practical advice on making enforcement applications.

What You Will Learn

This webinar will cover the following:

  • When should enforcement be considered as a remedy when an order is not being implemented?
  • Understanding the different types of enforcement methods that are available and the circumstances in which each method may be appropriate
  • Analysis of the relevant Family Procedure Rules 2010 and the Civil Procedure Rules 1998
  • How to make an enforcement application
  • The applicable rules and case law on transferring orders from the family court to the High Court for enforcement purposes
  • Enforcing undertakings and agreements in financial orders
  • Analysis of the relevant case law on enforcement
  • The importance of thinking ahead to possible enforcement issues when drafting financial remedy orders

This pre-recorded webinar will be available to view from Friday 27th March 2026
