This 6 hour virtual classroom session seeks to refresh your technique at drafting Statements of Case and other forms of pleading, and considers the relationship between the case as pleaded, evidence, amendment and costs.

Written advocacy expert, Andrew Goodman addresses the importance of Statements of Case, what the judge really wants from them and practical tips from the Court’s viewpoint.

Aimed at delegates in practice, this intermediate level session will use material from real cases led by senior practitioners, judicial interviews and interactive exercises. The cost consequences of getting things wrong can be disastrous, this session is a timely reminder of litigation skills.

Andrew will sharpen the skills required to produce effective writing which is clear, concise, coherent, structured intelligently, and formulated with a view to assisting the judge to solve the problem immediately to hand.
