Bowel Claims - Establishing Liability & Quantifying Loss
Speaker
Introduction
This webinar is aimed at legal professionals involved in bringing or defending clinical negligence claims arising from bowel injury. It will explore potential breaches of duty and the expert evidence required to establish failures in care across both hospital and GP settings.
The webinar will consider a range of causes of action, including bariatric surgery, accidental bowel injury during childbirth, cholecystectomy cases and failures to diagnose malrotated bowel in neonates. The role and disciplines of appropriate experts will be discussed, alongside key issues of breach of duty and causation.
The likely quantum considerations and the expert evidence typically required in these cases will also summarily be discussed.
