Introduction

This virtual classroom seminar will focus on property disputes involving third parties in financial remedy proceedings. Although property disputes involving third parties frequently arise in financial remedy proceedings, many practitioners feel less comfortable with the land law principles that such disputes usually involve and with the procedural rules that apply when third parties’ interests are involved.

The live session will consider how to prepare and manage such cases from the perspective of both those that are making a claim and those responding to a claim. It will provide practical advice to help you the next time you are involved in a case involving a third party property dispute.

This live session will aim to improve your understanding and knowledge of the relevant land law principles and procedure to be followed to better equip you to advise your client where there is a property dispute involving a third party in ongoing financial remedy proceedings.
