Introduction

The fight against money laundering and financial crime remains a top priority for UK law enforcement and regulators. Recent developments, particularly the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, have introduced significant new obligations for UK companies, increasing both the legal and regulatory burden.

In parallel, HM Treasury’s latest National Risk Assessment identifies evolving threats, underlining that the pace of change in this area is unlikely to slow.

This new virtual classroom seminar will provide an overview of the current legislative and regulatory framework governing anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF). It will also examine the most recent and imminent updates to the Money Laundering Regulations and wider financial crime regime, with a focus on how to respond to emerging risks and prepare for future developments.

This session is ideal for compliance officers and MLROs in the regulated sector, finance directors and staff.
