Paul Clark

Paul qualified in 1970 and specialised in commercial property in 1972, first at Linklaters & Paines, and then as a partner at D J Freeman where he was Head of Property for 10 years. He joined Cripps Harries Hall (now Cripps Pemberton Greenish) as a Real Estate Consultant in 2003, and still works for that firm part-time. He has been involved in SDLT since it began in 2003 and his principal activity now is giving SDLT training to law firms and accountants. He was from 2004-2017 a member of HMRC’s “working together” and “deregulation” committees and remains an active member of the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group (STPG). He drafted the ‘Leasebook’ and the RICS Common Auction Conditions. He was Practice and Precedents Editor of The Conveyancer and Property Lawyer from 2010-2018.
