She is regularly instructed to represent vulnerable adults who are involved in Section 21A Deprivation of Liberty Mental Capacity Act 2005 proceedings, and also in more complex cases to determine the client’s capacity to make decisions regarding matters such as consent to sexual relations, marriage, contact with particular individuals, contraception, residence and care, and foreign travel.
