Introduction

Ofsted has come under scrutiny in the news recently following the coroner’s verdict in respect of the death of the Headteacher, Ruth Perry.

From 1 January 2024, Sir Martyn Oliver has taken over as His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills and has said that existing changes, and changes to come, will bring about a fresh start to inspire greater confidence in Ofsted’s work.

We will take a look at the recent changes to inspection practice, and those on the horizon, as well as practical tips on the options available to schools on receipt of a draft report, and once a judgement has been made to challenge Ofsted.

What You Will Learn

This webinar will cover the following:

  • An update following the recent coroner’s verdict
  • Potential changes on the horizon following appointment of new Ofsted chief inspector from 1 January 2024
