Introduction

John Kerry, the US special envoy on climate, is predicting that the shift to a green economy will entail ‘a bigger economic transformation’ than the Industrial Revolution. Its impact will affect every business, across every sector.

The focus for insurers has moved from Net Zero investing to Net Zero underwriting.

As a result, underwriters will be required to know the risks, the terminology, and the way in which that they can effect change. Claims managers will need to be aware of likely claims both under property policies as well as potential liability claims.

This virtual classroom seminar will provide you with the knowledge and terminology to discuss climate risk with your clients so that they can help policyholders disclose climate risk and transition to a low carbon economy.

You will have a better understanding of the claims likely to arise from a changing climate and the steps your clients/their policyholders can take to mitigate these.
