Introduction
This webinar will address mixed use premises in the context of the enfranchisement legislation, both in terms of houses for the purposes of the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 and buildings comprising flats for the purposes of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.
An overview will also be given of the exclusion of business leases from the leasehold reform legislation.
Additionally, the webinar will consider the proposed reforms to make enfranchisement easier and cheaper, focusing on the Law Commission’s recommendations relating to mixed use premises and business leases.
