Tony is a barrister at Field Court Chambers and has specialised in the law relating to social care for 20 years, which has latterly encompassed the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Tony regularly appears in the Administrative Court on claims for judicial review and in the Court of Protection. He has conducted and defended many appeals in this area of the law in the Court of Appeal and two in the Supreme Court. Tony is the joint author of ‘Dementia and the Law’, published in 2014. He is also a regular speaker at seminars about social care and the MCA.
