Russell Hopkins

Russell is an associate at Bright Line Law, with experience in general civil and criminal litigation, most recently involving the financial aspects of international crimes in complex and high-value cases, representing parties in trials and on appeal. In 2008, Russell qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court in England and Wales, and he exercised advocacy rights as a solicitor-advocate. He is in the process of cross-qualifying to become a barrister and will be called to the Bar of England and Wales. Russell spent three years as a member of Herbert Smith Freehills’ in-house advocacy unit, acting as a junior to leading counsel, both in-house and external. In 2010-2011, Russell was selected to work as a judicial assistant to Lord Collins and Lord Wilson in the UK Supreme Court.
