Introduction

This in-person seminar will provide a sound introduction to construction law for those who are new to the area. It will make reference to the current law as it affects the construction industry taking due account of statutory developments and decisions in the courts. Over a period of two days, you will be able to identify the important areas of law and practice at each step of a construction project from inception through to dispute resolution.

Upon completion of the course, you should be able to answer the following questions (amongst others):

  • What are the main features of the standard forms of contract used in construction?
