Introduction

Through this modular webinar, we will look at all aspects of equality and diversity. The focus will be on the requirements of the Equality Act 2010, but we will also look at some additional issues such as the impact of unconscious bias on decisions that individuals make.

The first module will give a summary of the protected characteristics, which are the grounds on which a discrimination claim can be made. We will then move on to look at prohibited conduct, the different forms that discrimination can take.

Finally, we will consider some of the broader issues that combine to give us a full understanding of equality and diversity.
