‘Soft Landings’ in Construction Projects - An Introduction for Professionals
With increasing use of the process of soft landings in public and private sector construction projects, this virtual classroom seminar introduces how soft landings provides for a gradual handover of a new or refurbished building, where a period of professional aftercare by the project team is a client requirement, planned for and carried out from project inception onwards.
Soft landings can minimise build risk and eventual out turn cost by ensuring that buildings achieve their energy and environmental performance requirements through more use of performance feedback and building evaluations for up to three years post-completion, and so better inform client requirements and design briefs.
