Introduction
With many business premises closed and staff working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, how should you deal with property notices?
How should they be signed and served? Do you need actual authority?
This webinar draws on practical lessons from recent case law whether the property notice is served under contract or statute.
What You Will Learn
This webinar will cover the following:
- Is your client entitled to serve? Avoiding the problems with the registration gap: Sackville v Robertson; Stodday v Pye; Renshaw v Magnet
- Errors in prescribed forms: Pease v Carter; Dukeminster v West End;
- Can you sign/serve for your client? Neocleous v Rees; TFS v The Designer Retail
- Email service or postal service - which & when? What happens when the notice is blocked by a firewall? Ashfield v HMRC
This pre-recorded webinar will be streamed at 12:30pm on Tuesday 9th March 2021 and will remain available to view by delegates who have registered by then for 90 days.
