Introduction
Join Dr Alexandra von Westernhagen, who is an internationally recognised EU Law specialist with over 20 years’ experience, gained at international level and in the UK to discuss how to resolve cross border disputes in Europe.
Cross border disputes arise on a frequent basis but in which jurisdiction should cross-border cases be heard, recognised and enforced? What law should apply? What strategic considerations should businesses engage in before entering into cross-border contracts?
With the help of related case studies, participants will receive an update in relation to the most important rules, how to apply them, how to identify possible pitfalls - and how to avoid them.
Special consideration will be given to the changes that have occurred as a result of the UK exiting from the European Union, as well as recent developments to help UK lawyers understand the new regime.
