Introduction

This area of law has been changing dramatically ever since David Anderson QC's review.

The new Investigatory Powers Act changes the approach to interception of communications but many of the other species of investigatory tools are still covered by the old regime.

This course is ideally suited to all criminal lawyers and is also designed to be hugely valuable for defence practitioners to illustrate how breaches of RIPA can be used to exclude evidence or to argue abuse of process.
