Introduction

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) reported in March 2018 that it had handled more cybersquatting cases in 2017 than ever before. Many of these cases involved allegations of counterfeiting, phishing and fraud.

Banking, fashion and IT are commonly targeted sectors - but any business with an online presence is at risk from this type of criminal activity.

This course will ensure that you are up to date with the latest domain name issues and that you have the requisite knowledge to put in place robust domain name registration and management strategies on behalf of your clients. You will receive tips on how to avoid domain name disputes in the first place and best practice in taking action when disputes do arise.

This half-day seminar is aimed at in-house lawyers, private practice solicitors, trade mark attorneys and anyone that routinely uses the domain name dispute resolution mechanisms.
