Introduction

The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 has brought about numerous amendments to Part II Public Order Act 1986.

Additionally, there have been several decisions from the senior courts examining the conflicts between ECHR human rights and the prosecution of protestors. This is a fast-moving area of law.

This virtual classroom seminar will guide you through the key legislation and case law to ensure you are completely familiar with the current law, whether it be obstructing the highway, aggravated trespass, criminal damage, or non-compliance with police directions during a protest.

Now includes the new s4B POA 1986 - a must for practitioners from police station reps to Crown Court Advocates.
