Pavement Licences - The Latest Guidance

Introduction

The Business and Planning Act 2020 includes a streamlined and cheaper route for businesses such as cafes, restaurants, and bars, to secure a licence to place furniture on the highway.

The system was initially introduced to allow businesses to operate safely whilst social distancing measures were in place and will continue until at least September 2022 to assist with economic recovery.
